THC Detox

THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol is found in the plant called marijuana. THC
marijuana (9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the primary active ingredient in
cannabinoids (marijuana). when ingested or smoked, it produces
euphoric effects. Users have impairment of short-term memory and
a reduced ability to learn. Also, it may cause transient episodes of
confusion, anxiety, or even toxic delirium. Long term effects are uncommon, but relatively heavy use may be associated with behavioral
disorders. Marijuana is used by millions of users every year, and
that number continues to grow as more and more evidence uncovers its
positive medical effects and disproves the negative publicity the
drug receives. Marijuana has been proved to be less harmful then
alcohol and cigarettes. with the increase of marijuana smokers the
increase in the cover up and detoxification of marijuana increases as well. this leads to more and more urinary cleansers being marketed and used.

The most popular employer and
goverment drug test for THC is urine
tests. Marijuana is absorbed into
our fatty tissues and the liver, and
eventually end up in our urine.
Elevated levels of the urinary
metabolite
11-nor-9-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carb
oxylic acid are found within hours
of exposure and remain detectable
for 3-10 days after smoking. the THC
/ marijuana drug test is based on
the principle of the highly specific
immunochemical reactions between
antigens and antibodies, which are
used for the analysis of specific
substances in biological fluids. the
sensitivity is 50 ng/ml of THC
marijuana.

How to Boost Testosterone?

Our nation has been dealing with a dramatic dip in testosterone for the past 100 years. the main reasons are environmental factors and estrogens which are present almost anywhere. the is causing an influx of estrogen into our systems for both male and females causing breast cancer rates to increase as well. Sperm counts have dropped 50% in the past 60 years. almost 20% of males aged 19-25 are infertile which is significant. now back to testosterone. the first thing you need to do to boost your testosterone is fix your liver. Do not Drink alcohol! Alcohol kills your liver which is involved with hormonal balance and that means the liver removes excess estrogen and environmental pollutants like i mentioned before. to detox your liver i recommend milk thistle, dandelion, and burdock root. also eat plenty of vegetables. the next step is change your diet. we get way to many omega 6 in our diets so you need to fix the omega 3 to omega 6 ratio which should be a 1:4 ratio. Five power foods i recommend are bananas, raw almonds, brazil nuts hemp seeds and honey. Bananas contain vitamin b6 which is very important for testosterone. Raw almonds contain magnesium which raised free testosterone and gets rid of diabetes risk (very important). Brazil nuts contain the most powerful antioxidant selenium which increases glutathione levels in the body. Glutathione protects luitinizing hormone from decreasing with age and is the most powerful antioxidant in the body proven to increase testosterone. one study showed a 30% increase in testosterone by selenium alone. Hemp seeds contain omega 3 and are high in zinc. Zinc is very good for sperm count and testosterone and omega 3 is good for the brain. your brain is what secretes testosterone so use your logic. now honey is very good too. it contain chysin in small amounts Chrysin is proven to be an aromatase inhibitor, therefore it lowers estrogen. Lower estrogen = higher testosterone. Honey also boost sperm counts. now if your mix all of these foods in a blender at once and add water, you will be one step closer to increasing your testosterone. That, and good quality sleep and exercise are key factors to achieving this goal. Hope this helps

Drug overdose was reason for absence, court hears

C7 Tammy Scott-WallaceTelegraph-Journal

HAMPTON – Patricia Jones of Saint John, formerly of Sussex, has no choice but to show up for her ex-boyfriend's trial this time.

On July 20 in Hampton court, as Nathan Winchester, also formerly of Sussex, was to go to trial on a number of charges including assaulting and threatening Jones, the hearing had to be cancelled. Witnesses were there, the accused was there along with the Crown and defense attorneys, but the key witness in the matter, Jones, didn't show up.

A warrant was issued for the 29-year-old's arrest, and on the weekend she was picked up by police and held, making her first appearance in Sussex court from the prisoner's box, in cuffs, on July 22.

Despite her pleas to go home, she was denied release and was further remanded until a show-cause hearing to hold her in Hampton court on Monday.

Her friend William Main of Sussex stood in the courtroom and said he would take Jones into his care and promised she would be back in court today for Winchester's new court date in Sussex.

But Judge Henrik Tonning could not be convinced despite her explanation.

She said she is on the methadone program and prior to last week's trial she overdosed on crack cocaine while staying in Saint John. She was hospitalized and later released, but told the judge she was unable to wake up in time for the trial.

Main said he tried to wake Jones himself that morning for court, but her breathing was slow and her heart rate low.

He said he made several calls, including to the Saint John Regional Hospital where she was discharged and was told that between the drugs she took and the medications the hospital prescribed, it could be several hours or even days before she woke up.

Main said he also made calls to the RCMP and to the Hampton courthouse to let them know Jones' situation and to advise she wouldn't be at the trial.

Tonning said the Winchester matter was adjourned before because Jones was in detox for her drug addictions.

“Everyone's been trying for years and it's not working,” the judge said of efforts to get Jones the help she needs.

He said he must guarantee her presence today, and that will only happen with her locked up behind bars.

“I want her clean and sober on Friday,” he said, denying her release as she sobbed in to her hands. She also has an outstanding fine for an unrelated matter which Tonning said she is working off during her incarceration.

“I'm not trying to be difficult. That's the last thing she needs,” Tonning said.

Meanwhile, Winchester is also in custody awaiting his hearing on eight charges.

Do you have some legal rights involving your medical history folder?

Are there any legal ways of removing a document from your civilian medical folder? Such as a dated piece of paper stating you went to a hospital for "detox" of a prescription drug?

i found this and you can read the they don't give you doctors notes and alot of stuff. so you can't take or change them. plus website link

Do I have a right to my medical records?

Yes. the HIPAA medical privacy law gives you the right to see and get copies of your own medical records. there are a few exceptions. for example, HIPAA does not give you the right to access psychotherapy notes or information compiled for use in litigation. Your request may also be denied if the provider decides access to the records could result in harm to you or another person.

In addition to HIPAA, many states have laws that allow patients or their designated representatives access medical records. State laws may give you more, but not less, privacy than HIPAA.

No, once it has happened, the paper has to be kept for ever. I work at a medical facility with all the dated history & the medical history such as sensitive materials from court or substance abuse has to be kept for ever.now if you are over the age of 18 you can control who sees your medical information. But, nothing can be done about it. Keeping information is the law. once you have abused medication, it is noted & in your chart for ever. But if you ever chose to go to another medical facility you have to give authorization for the release of your medical records & seperate authorization for things like HIV or substance abuse.

You can't remove something. you have the choice over who gets to see it though.

nope.
should have thought about this before you got so bad that you needed detox.

No, you can't pull things that you don't like.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Alcohol Detox for Elderly People

For anyone quitting alcohol, rehab experts recommend detoxing under the close care of medical professionals. During alcohol detox, there is always potential for medical complications, even for younger drinkers who are otherwise perfectly healthy. but while younger people can sometimes detox at home-preferably with doctor approval-for older adults it is much more important to seek inpatient treatment at least through the detox stage. Elderly people are at much greater risk of complication, and it is important to have instant access to a doctor should a problem arise.

Complicating factors

There are several factors that make alcohol detox more difficult for elderly people, including:

  • Longer length of use: Some elderly alcoholics have been abusing alcohol for decades, sometimes many decades. After such a long time of regular abuse, the body may be extremely dependent, and detox may take several days longer than usual.
  • Stronger psychological dependence: When a person has been abusing alcohol for most of their lives, it may be hard to imagine living without it. Younger people who have not been drinking for too long can at least remember what it was like to be sober. Elderly people often have more trouble making the transition.
  • Medications: since older adults often take medication for various health issues, extra care must be taken when it comes to alcohol detox.
  • Other health problems: many older people have concurrent health problems that can complicate the alcohol detox process.
  • The aging body: Younger bodies tend to bounce back with ease. Elderly people have more difficulty recovering and healing, and as a result the detox stage can take much longer for them.

When even one of these factors plays a part in one’s alcohol detox, it is crucial to get professional inpatient treatment.

Recovering Safely

For elderly people going through alcohol detox, doctors tend to take greater care every step of the way. in the beginning, the doctor will likely want to do extensive tests to detect any medical problems the patient may not be aware of. meanwhile, the doctor must carefully calibrate any medication regimen the alcoholic may take through detox, especially if the patient already takes other medications.

Once the process begins, it is generally expected that an elderly person’s alcohol detox will take at least two or three days longer than normal. It varies for everyone, however, so the patient will be carefully monitored by the doctor throughout all stages of detox. and since the urge to drink is so strong in many elderly alcoholics, the doctors will also carefully monitor the patient’s mood and behavior.

All in all, elderly alcoholics should never try to undergo alcohol detox on their own. though many resist seeking treatment in full-time care facilities, it is important for the family to be supportive while also urging doctor-guided, inpatient recovery.
