How Our Current Version Of Milkshake Came About

He was trying to make something new to serve his customers when he picked up a few scoops of ice cream and put them into the mixer, which had malt milk leftovers and was born the creamy rich liquid that has engaged our fantasy for decades.
It must have been one of those days when he must have decided to try and keep trying until he comes up with something new. He must have definitely tried many more recipes and after a few trials and errors must have finalized the recipe of milkshake. The tasters must have had a tough day trying to taste all that was offered.
Milkshake, which was sold through the soda fountain in the drug store called Walgreen, soon became a rage with the public. Everywhere people started demanding milkshakes and the increasing demand soon forced Walgreen to expand their network nationwide within a short span of ten years and now every soda fountain was selling milkshakes.
America as a nation embraced milkshake. People loved this creamy, rich drink and thus milkshake became a regular part of America’s menu at the breakfast table, in restaurants, at expensive hotels and even in railway stations.
Today of course milkshake as seen several generations pass by and have been transformed in the bargain too. Milkshakes which were usually available with only chocolate, vanilla or straw berry flavors is today available with many more options and recopies too. New varieties seem to be popping up all the time.
Walgreen soda fountain manager’s name will go down in the history as the creator of milkshakes. No matter who developed new recipes and varieties of milkshakes, the credit will always belong to him and people will remember that on that day he had tried to put together something new to serve his customers.
